Mauro matches social critique with Pop aesthetics, and this new exhibition demonstrates his astonishing technical skill, style and wit. A Pop Artist for the 21st Century, his meticulously crafted, richly coloured works incorporate familiar icons of today’s culture, engaging with themes such as war, cloning, fashion, drugs and the media.

Highlights of the exhibition will include ‘Luxury Therapy’, a display of glitter-filled, designer drugs and Mauro’s giant jelly babies, each perfectly moulded from light-reflecting polyurethane resin. Although each jelly baby is unique in production, the topical issue of cloning is brought to mind, whether Mauro is depicting a family, Buddha or Chairman Mao.

Based in London, Mauro has achieved international acclaim in recent years with a range of solo and group shows across Europe and Apopalyptic is his most significant exhibition to date.
