Simon Gudgeon
11 Jun 2009 - 14 Sep 2009 | 24 Bruton Street, London
An exhibition featuring Simon Gudgeon's magnificent new sculpture Isis, which was unveiled in Hyde Park this summer.
This show coincided with the unveiling of Isis in London's Hyde Park in the summer and tells the story of its development and creation. The exhibition showcased several versions of the work, in a wide range of sizes and materials as well as featuring a number of ambitious recent large-scale works by Gudgeon.
Commissioned by the Royal Parks Foundation to raise £1million for a new education centre in the heart of Hyde Park, Isis is a sculpture that will be enjoyed by visitors to this treasured green space for many generations to come. Members of the public will also have the opportunity to support this project by purchasing one of 1000 personalised plaques that will be permanently inlaid around the base of Isis.
A new book has been published celebrating Isis and the project in Hyde Park. Please contact Halcyon Gallery for further information.
