About

Lorenzo Quinn’s iconic La Dolce Vita was unveiled on Park Lane, London as part of Halcyon Gallery’s international public art programme and Westminster Council’s City of Sculpture Festival.

La Dolce Vita is one of Quinn’s most recognized sculptures and features a traditional Vespa moped held by a giant hand. The sculpture was previously exhibited at Casina Valadier, Villa Borghese in Rome for the first Biennale di Scultura, an exhibition of outdoor sculpture in the city of Rome. Quinn says that for him this piece represents the ‘joie de vivre’ of the age of La Dolce Vita as described to him by his father, “…and the sense of total abandonment to the child within.”
