Pedro Paricio, In Praise of Painting at TEA

Halcyon Gallery is proud to announce a major exhibition of 80 works by Pedro Paricio opening on Friday 31st October at TEA Museum Tenerife Espacio de las Artes in Tenerife.

The Museum of Contemporary Art, designed by the Swiss architects Herzog & De Meuron, presents an important exhibition of paintings by the London-based Spanish painter Pedro Paricio. Continuing from his successful recent exhibitions at Halcyon Gallery, Diary of an Artist (2011-2012) and Shaman (2014), the museum has selected a wide range of Pedro Paricio’s paintings, drawings and collages. Under the title In Praise of Painting, the exhibition includes works created over the last 7 years.

A small selection of new paintings from Pedro Paricio’s ongoing Shaman Series are also included in this exhibition curated by Isidro Hernandez Director and Curator of the TEA. Previous artists who have shown at TEA include; Arnulf Reiner, Tomas Ruff, Walter Benjamin and Oscar Dominguez. In Praise of Painting opens 31st October 2014 and runs until 8th March 2015.

A publication will also be produced for this exhibition.
