Halcyon Gallery is delighted to announce Chihuly at Fairchild. December 6, 2014 – May 31 2015

Chihuly at Fairchild is a new garden exhibition by Dale Chihuly. Comprising 23 installations it will be the artist’s most comprehensive and ambitious garden exhibition to date.

The exhibition opens on the 6th December 2014 at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden in Florida and marks Chihuly’s third return to Fairchild, having previously exhibited there in 2005 and again in 2006 to huge acclaim.

Chihuly’s lifelong fascination for glasshouses developed into a series of exhibitions within botanical settings. His Garden Cycle began in 2001 at Garfield Park Conservatory in Chicago. Chihuly has since exhibited at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, near London, in 2005, and at multiple sites across the United States including recent exhibitions in Desert Botanical Garden, Phoenix and Denver Botanic Gardens, Colorado during 2014. Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden spans an impressive 83 acres. It was founded and named after the explorer - David Fairchild, who travelled the world to discover useful plants, bringing them back in order to exhibit them at the gardens. Its primary aim is to promote the conservation of tropical plants through public engagement.
