Halcyon Gallery is proud to announce the upcoming exhibition at 144-146 New Bond Street, Heroes and Villains, opening to the public on 14 May 2015.
An exciting collection of Unique, hand-embellished Trial Proofs created from the series: Superheroes, masterminded and signed by the legendary Stan Lee, will be exhibited for the first time. The classic Marvel comic book covers feature some of the most influential characters that have dominated our society over the many years of Stan Lee’s reign in the comics industry; presenting Captain America, The Amazing Spider-Man, The Mighty Thor, and The Invincible Iron Man.
Rarely seen diamond dust works by Russell Young of Marilyn Crying, will sit alongside glittering iconic portraits of “Jackie” Kennedy Onassis and Mohammed Ali.
The exhibition will also feature Trial Proofs of the Ad Series by the legendary Andy Warhol, including popular imagery such as James Dean, Judy Garland, alongside new portraits by Raphael Mazzucco and works by contemporary artists Santiago Montoya, Ernesto Canovas, Mauro Perucchetti and Bob Dylan.
