Following the success of Lorenzo Quinn’s exhibition at Halcyon Gallery, New Bond Street, selected artwork from Full Circle will be showcased at Harrods, alongside the Halcyon Gallery’s Summer Exhibition. Key works by the artist will be on display showcasing Quinn’s visible artistic progression and highlighting his experimentation with new mediums and subject matter.
‘This is a new view – something I have not talked about in the past. In a way, I’m abstracting my message, my story. Before, the love was always represented by hands in different positions. Now it has morphed into representative materials: a gold stone represents faith; a red stone, the passion; stainless steel for friendship; and wood to represent the warmth of family. The figures, of course, represent the balance.’ -Lorenzo Quinn, commenting on his sculpture The Four Loves
The Summer Exhibition also revisits the successful Warhol/Mauro partnership, displaying Master Graphics by famed artist Andy Warhol juxtaposed with brightly-coloured contemporary sculpture by Mauro Perucchetti. World-renown glass artist, Dale Chihuly, will feature as well, including exemplary works on paper, Persian sets and Venetians, all hand-crafted and unique and all which lend agency to Chihuly Illuminated – a site-specific exhibition currently on permanent display at Halcyon Gallery, New Bond Street.
20th century Masters, Picasso, Matisse, Chagall, Miro and Salavador Dalí will also be on exhibition to culminate this exciting grouping of both Modern and Contemporary artwork at Halcyon Gallery, Harrods.
